MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To lead a team of RCM Administrators in the Revenue Cycle Management department ensuring that the best quality claims are submitted and funds from insurance companies and corporate partners are collected timely

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team
2. To ensure that invoices and claims are accurate and submitted to insurance companies and private payers within stipulated time frame
3. To ensure that dispatch, collection and disallowance reports are prepared and analysed and that the system is updated with payments and dispatched bills and outstanding balances are identified
4. To ensure that collection targets are met and that payments are received and processed and journal entries for write-offs and write-backs are processed according to MCME policies and procedures
5. To ensure that rejected amounts are allocated as per standard procedure and assist with disallowed bills to different insurance companies and prepare final reconciliation statement within stipulated time frame in collaboration with the RCM Manager

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential:  Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution

Desired:  Licensed professional coder with AAPC or AHIMA certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential:  At least 2 years’ experience in billing/accounts in the healthcare industry or a similar environment
Experience in a team lead role and customer services

Desired:  2-3 Years’ experience in billing/accounts in the healthcare industry or a similar environment as a team lead
